WOW............................. I've already commented on this but had to come back to take another look after her tragic death. She was such a talent!!!!
WOW!!!!!! Totally freaking Fabulous!!!!!! Loving the patriotic colors & super fun design!!!! For some reason I have not been getting the usual email alerts when my fav artists post.. that's why I am late in commenting.
"SUPER" patriotic in honor of the "SUPER" bowl. Love the way you wrinkled/creased the striped pp so it appears to be blowing in the wind - such depth and dimension from this one very creative detail. You've captured and shown a great piece of super bowl history with this AWESOME lo. TFS. Glad you were able to use the felt stars and hearts too.
Oh Fritchey, I love Whitney and her rendition of I will always love you os my fav and makes me cry.....She is a gorgeous woman and I hope she gets her mojo back, I love your layout, very patriotic.....poor patriots....boo hoo!
This is just wonderful!! Loved that song and I will probably sing it all night long now :)) The felt embellies look great and I just love your misting!! Love the flag pp and how you have creased it to look like it is blowing in the wind...uh oh theres another song there :)))
I am participating in the very fun "Get Your Game On" blog hop at "Scrap-Friendzy" in honor of Super Bowl Sunday. It involves gathering an "ingredient" at each of the blog stops along the way. One of the fun "ingredients" is to use a slogan or words from a commercial in your title or journaling. I thought of "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" from the old Coca-Cola comercials. I chose this picture of Whitney Houston singing the National Anthem as the basis for my layout. My journaling reads as follows: Whitney Houston sang the "National Anthem" at the Super Bowl at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, Florida on January 27, 1991. It was my absolute favorite rednitions of "The Star Bangled Banner" ever! The other "ingredients" I used are flowers (the felt flower and stars were made by Vickie AKA Happy Go Lucky!), metal (the metal key, metal brads & metal staples), buttons, mist or paint, numbers, stars & stripes, chipboard(the Making Memories chipboard frame) and twine. Thanks, this was a lot of fun to make!
**Epilogue: I made this layout on February 5th for the Super Bowl blog hop. Little did I know that Whitney Houston would pass away in her hotel room on February 11, 2012. I am so very sorry for her loss - she was a wonderful talent and gave the world beautiful music. May she rest in peace.
