OMG could you imagine having triplets back then.....! What a great layout and I agree the paper line works so well, I love your banner effect too - awesome!
I was wondering why Pat thought it a sad story and then read your explanation - so sad - but clearly all three were 'precious gems' to their parents having been given such sweet names.
Oh Jill, I think this is a wonderful tribute to them. You can see the love you put into creating the page. This is a tribute to the love for these dear children & it shows.
Okay friends...here's the scoop on the triplets and the reason I've been holding off on doing the layout until I found the best papers. They were born healthy but each passed away from Diphtheria when they were about 1.5 years (within a three week period). I have felt broken-hearted for their parents for years whenever I saw the photo, but creating this layout helped me focus on the triple-joy and storybook experience their births gave the parents. Journal is on the back of the layout.
I love the vintage feel you have given to this beautiful heritage pg!Love those old highchairs and their dresses are so pretty. Not to mention how you added the Diamond, Ruby and Pearls, to match their names, very clever!
I've been waiting for the perfect scrapbooking papers to highlight this treasured photo - so when the Glitz "French Kiss" Collection caught my eye I knew it would work. "Joli" means "pretty" in French and it's a nice word to introduce these precious little girls. I had a piece of CanvasCorp burlap I'd frayed on one side so I used some of the strings to tie the banner together. The collection is PERFECT for vintage photos, trips to France and anything associated with love and endearing affection. The collection was enjoyable to work with because the texture is full spectrum; from diamonds to gunny sack burlap. Thanks Glitz and thanks to you for looking!
