I got tired of cleaning spots off my work area, computer keyboard and anything else that I got dirty when I misted something. So I took a box I got from an Scrapbook.com order {5x12 inches}... kept the packing material inside and propped up the edges. I hold whatever I am misting inside the box and mist away.
I have gotten mist on everything...my cell phone, tv remote, my favorite coffee cup, the list goes on and on.
Anyway, the packing material keeps the bottom from getting wet....if you ever need a clean work surface inside the box you can just add more packing material! I save all the brown paper I get from every box I get! You never know when you might have a messy job to do!
