OH My goodness another FAV!! i wish i had more old pictures i could scrap. I think i need to talk my grandma into letting me have some more LOL ...Just beautiful
This is a beautiful homage to your grandparents - you can tell it is labor intense - it is beautiful - you should be proud of the result. Thanks for sharing. I would say I would steal and try to replicate, but I know my limitations. LOL
Beautiful layout!! Love those nested frames and all the layers, punching and ink work! Stained hands, and a headache, sounds like you had a perfect scrappy day-lol~
Beautifull! Wow you put a lot into this and it shows! Very cool photo and love how you're showing it off! Thanks for all the info about how you did this! I'm learning different techniques and this helps me invision how you did it.
Wow! Great job! It looks to me like every minute you spent on this was well worth the effort. So pretty and what a treasure!! Where did you find that tutorial?
FABULOUS! Wow all the work you put into this sure shows! The frames are perfect! Love the picture! Wonderful combo of embellies, hard work, and love! Fav!
Hi my friend... thanks so much for your kind words about my news xxxx ... this LO is AWESOME !!! from the photo, to all the little details. love it.. and I love that you used a lei for that flower, so very clever, and the flower looks great !!
Wow--you just keep getting better and better. Those frames are awesome! And that picture of the very cute couple--your grandparents--is priceless! Worth all the work you put into this!
This picture is of my maternal grandparents Leo and Marion Smedley. This is when they were on their honeymoon I believe, from the way they are dressed and the flowers she is wearing I imagine so.
I spent all day on this layout. My hands are stained and my head hurts but I am pretty happy with the outcome. The flower in the lower left side is made from a Hawaiian lei I found for sale at the thrift store. Came home and took one of them apart and hit it with my homemade Patina shimmer mist (which is now gone 2 oz bottle!) and held it together with a brad, it already had hole in the middle. The chipboard frames I misted, stamped, painted, chalked and embossed. I guess I'll have to do close ups of this because you can't really see all the detail. The resist canvas in the lower right and left corners I misted and highlighted with stickles. I made the ribbon flower in the top right corner and used an old button my aunt gave me. The tiny ribbon roses attached to the outer frame started out life pink...I misted them to make them match everything. I watched a paper distressing/inking tutorial by craftysprinkles this morning and I love the way the paper in the background came out. It totally looks all old and stuff! The stamped title "Having Fun" I did before I laid everything down and is covered by the memories tag because it was blocked by the outside frame. This was the last full sheet of paper I had left from the kit, and I have one more vintage layout to do. Thank you for your time and your comments and thanks for looking!
