gorgeous and sooo cozy looking! I started one when I was in my teens and never ended up finishing it ): Did make one for a friend's baby back then though...the baby ones go together so much faster! that was a long time ago; I probably don't even remember how to make granny squares anymore...

Oh, this is GORGEOUS!!!! I'm so glad that you've shared with us, Cheryl!!! This warms my heart......it reminds me of a couple of afgans that I made back in the early 70's....they weren't granny squares, but they were crochetted. Now that I have carpol tunnel, I can't do that anymore....but I guess that was a blessing, because I wouldn't have learned how to SB!!!! Your work is so LOVELY and it will be admired for generations to come! BIG HUGS!

yes this is for sure a winner..luv the granny rungs..I made a cream one and put burgandy flowers on the top of each square for larnie,s dolls.......xo

Wow, fabulous! Love all those squares, such a lot of work!! (I had an afghan similar to this from the 60's time frame that I was given. I packed it up for the summer because it was wool, and my husband thought it was the trash, because I had wrapped it in a plastic bag, and guess what, he threw it out at the dump! aaahhh) Anyway, love this, all the blues are striking!

Oh this is beautiful. Making the squares takes lot's of patience which I do not have. I am still working on my dgd pink, black, and white blanket. I lack about 6 inche's. Then I only have 2 more to go. Making one for each of my grandchildren. You did a fantastic job on this and I love the mix of color's.

I love this afghan...It has inspired me to get my crochet stuff out and get busy! I made one of these for my mother about 25 years ago...Time to make another!
