Thursday, September 22nd, 2011 – We had a very early flight from Dallas to Seattle. We not only made it to the lobby with all our bags ready to go in plenty of time for our 6:00AM shuttle to the airport, we were early enough to have waffles for breakfast before the shuttle!
We were looking forward to seeing Bill's son, Bruce and meeting Bruce's girlfriend, Jessica, that night. The drive from Seattle to Portland seemed especially long, probably because of the 4 ½ hour flight before the 3 hour drive.
We found a cute hotel in the Jahntzen Beach part of Portland – our room was lovely! We even had a working fireplace! We unloaded our suitcases in our room and took it easy while we waited to meet Jessica.
When Jessica got off work she and Bruce took us to their favorite pizza place – Mississippi Pizza. The pizza was amazing – we both really loved this pizza!
