Sluicing for GOLD
April 30, 2006
We had a very busy weekend. The day before we went to a town sale, the Rendezvous, the Bird of Prey demonstration, and to McDonald’s.
I heard that the Rock and Gem show would be in another town with a sluice for the kids. Brandon, Dillon, Gregory, Emily, and Cheyenne all love rocks, so we thought they would love to go to this. There were a lot of really beautiful things there to see. The kids all lined up to do the sluice and took home a small bag of their finds. There were crystals, marbles, cut beads, shells, and pyrite among their finds. They really enjoyed it.
After the gem show, we dropped Emily off at Skateland for Megan’s birthday party. We then went to visit with Melva and Riley until it was time to pick her up.
After we picked her up, we decided to go eat.
