yah, they are picky plants, they want the perfect light and soil and all. When I lived in Iowa they thrived, in other places goners soon after I planted them. Now I have a moisture meter (Home Depot and other places) and all my plants are MUCH happier. I was watering too much.
I'm thinking now I should take mine out of the dirt and put it in water, lol! Yours is much bigger than my old one! Of course if I fed it violet food it might look nicer.
3-14-12...This is my COPYCAT of Lori's ''It's a start'' photo of her Gooseberry plant starts. My MIL gave me this African Violet start...it's still in a small jar of water. Truth be told, I'm not good with any plant that flowers so I'm hesitant to put it in soil...the second I do it will die for sure. [P3149786]
