wowowowowowo love this. Love the greens and blues you used. LOVE the paper rips with are sooooooo amazing here. And you are LOVING that McGill Starburst punch, arent ya! Great technique on the chippy frame. Your talent was always there but you simply forgot you had it inside you. Now it's full steam ahead I see with creativity and imagination.
FUN, FUN, FUN and you did such a great job of matching the colors in your lo to the colors in the photos. so very creative with all the inking and painting - LOVE it!
Gorgeous! I love the way you tore the green and blue paper in the background and then pieced it back together like a puzzle. I also like how those papers tie in with your son's shirt. Pretty frame.

Between the kids being home from school on spring break and doing spring cleaning in my home....it has taken me a week to finish this layout! I got the majority of it done, but the finishing touches and everything getting glued down was what it was waiting for. I wanted to do a boy layout with the lovely Scraps of Darkness ~ Needful Things kit. I wanted to show how versatile these kits are...you can do any kind of layout with these kits! Every single layout I have made with the Scraps of Darkness kits have been featured on the front page. I had been wanting to take my scrapping style in a different direction for a while...and once I registered at the Scraps of Darkness forums and subscribed to the kit, my style evolved almost as if my magic. There is an immense amount of expertise on their design team and there are amazing tutorials just a click away. The paper and embellishments are very high quality and are always perfectly coordinated.
I took these pictures of my oldest ds Nico about 3 weeks ago during a trip to the park when we had that freak stretch of warm sunny days. Always the poser, I caught enough pics of him to fill the Fab Scraps chippie that came with my Needful things kit. I wanted the background to mimic the colors in his shirt and the papers went beautifully with the color scheme. The butterfly I scored at the Dollar Tree store at 3 for $1. Its make of feathers, the tulle came from there too. I used Blue Sapphire Metallic paint by folk art on everything but the patterned paper. I was greatly inspired by Jrabs layout - Yesteryear. Jennifer said her layout was based on the Needful Things sketch by Suepup, so I guess mine is too! Hope you like it, TFL!
