SHCG - Agree with the suggestions on the addition of the date. Love the double matting as well - looks so clean & elegant! I too struggle w/ the overall color scheme but as Jesse said not sure if it's the monitor/scan colors or not - right now it looks like forest green, orange & red to me. I could see removing the red buttons & replacing w/ brownish metal accents (brads or other hardware) & adding brown/beige elements to create a more earthy/stone-like feel? Just an idea. As always, I adore your use of actual memorabilia & your incorporation of multi-pics!
shcg: I could see a tab added to the strip of red/orange on the left with the date. Love the double-matting. I agree with Jesse about the bg color. I'm not sure exactly what color I would chose, but this is screaming Christmas to me.
SHCG- The colors you used go very well together. I really like how the orange paper and buttons stand out against the darker background. The matting looks really awesome as well. I would, maybe, put the date under the row of buttons (so it looks like the buttons are sort of "pointing" to the date) or near the Washington D.C. picture.
SHCG: I really like how you double matted the pictures; gives them a nice gallery-like feel. I could see the date one of two places.... either written in small between the postcard and picture on the right, with a flourish of some sort going down the left side to fill in the space, or large going down the left side. Also, I'm not really sure I'm feeling the color of the bg cs, but it could just be seeing it on a computer makes it not true to what it actually looks like. Glad to see you're still continuing on the older pictures... great memories!
This is part of my long trip back east in 1988. I haven't put the date on this...still haven't figured out where to put it. I am not sure if it needs more or not.
