This is a picture of my Dad (about 1947) as a toddler with his Uncle Sidney on his left and his Dad on right holding his hands helping him into the house. This house belonged to his Dad's parents. My Grandfather passed a year before I was born and I never saw this old house that belonged to his grandparents. This is the only photo of it and since it's only of the steps/porch I was inspired to make a huge die cut of a house from my Heritage Cricut Cartridge. I wasn't really sure where I was going with this, and I'm not totally crazy about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed with it either... I think it just isn't my favorite. Maybe I'll re-scrap it someday.

I created this for the April Heritage challenge and the twist was to use a baby picture. I just love this picture as it shows the tender & nurturing side of the men in the family and I have so many photos and memories of my Dad being like this with my brother & I as little kids, and his grandkids. So for me it is a treat to see my Dad receiving that same TLC as a child from his family in this candid shot.

Thanks for looking!
