This is for the Pink Challenge
This is a layout of my friend Antoinette after the 24 hr Relay for Life that we participated in this past weekend. Antoinette is about to have her last round of chemotherapy next week and then she will begin radiation. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer just two weeks after joining our PartyLite team. She is our team Ambassador for the Relay for Life and an inspiration to all who know her.
The "point" of this layout is that she is pretty with or without the PINK hat. :)
The journaling I included are comments her friends left her after I posted these pictures on Facebook.
The Relay for Life is a 24 hour event where teams form and members take turns walking/running around the track. At night the teams set up tents around the track and camp out over night. People walk all day and night. They have a lot of fun activities from face painting in the afternoon, to a midnight movie and snack at the main stage. Me and my PartyLite team had a booth and my son and I took the night shift. It was a lot of fun and a life changing experience for the both of us.
The beads on the ribbon hanging from the tag represent the miles that my son and I walked at the Relay (we also camped out over night).
