Here is my LO for week 5 of the challenge. Make your own scrapbook line.
Well, my "company" name is ScrapHappens. And this is the Child’s Play patterned paper line. :) The names of the 5 different patterned papers are: Pick Up Sticks- (staggered lined “pp” made out of different cardstock adhered to white Bazzill) Jacks- The darker green pp with polka dots (painted on with bleach) and QK sparkle die cut with Heidi Swapp crystals. Doodles- dark pink pp made with painting bleach in doodle design (the circle behind the“m” in Miss). Crazy Daisies- Pink background made by a masking technique with paint over a hand cut flower. Cat’s Eye- light green pp with white and pink polka dots (used for flowers, the photo anchor and the circle behind the “s”). This was used by bleach stamping and hole punched pink cardstock.
The “kit” comes with hand cut flowers that you can layer, doodling rubons (not shown), cardstock alphabet stickers, matching fabric, photo anchors and hardware.
The hand cut flowers were originally traced from the Pressed Petals flowers and then I went from there with my exacto knife. All alphabets seen are hand cut and the “Miss” is all done in my handwriting/font (LOL).
Some things I used from around the house were sandpaper, bleach, picture hanger (left upper corner under green flower), paintbrush, sponge, large pink silk flower from arrangement in house and fabric (behind large bloom in title).
The only store bought items are the brads (crystals and green Queen & Co. brad) and I used one Forever flowers on the photo hanger. Under 20%. Everything else is my creation… MUUUHAHAHAHAHA!
My journaling is hidden behind “Ashley” and you get to it by pulling the dark pink tab to the right of it.
Journaling reads: To my little niece Ashley, I am so proud of you! You are the only girl in our family and you definitely hold your own! You keep right up with all the boys… actually teaching them a thing or two! You are so smart and funny, yet so talented and athletic too. You are such a gifted little girl and you are growing up so fast! I wish the best for you out of life and you know that I am always here for you… “for always!” And anytime someone asks me who my best girl is…. You know my answer will always be YOU… Miss Ashley! I love you! Love, Aunt Krissie
