I should follow you and make a book about me for my family too! I am sure they would love it! Great photo's of your schools. I remember my first pair of levi's, also rolled up at the knees! Wonderful journaling and page!
So happy you have the story recorded. And what a story! I love this LO very much for it's sentimental value. It is also put together very nicely. I love the Daisy D post card and big flash card. Love where you placed the journaling too.
When we moved from Detroit to Birmingham of course I had to change schools and this was my new school. It was soooo small compared to what I was used to. I went there from Jan 1950 until June 1950....where I completed the last half of the 6th grade. This is for my book of Me that I am making for my family. The post card is Daisy D., the littlre round tag with books, was in my stash, the protractor journaling item is very old from my stash, and the flash card is from 7 Gypsies. .The cursive writing paper is from TPC Studio - School Days pad, and the background sheet is from my stash.
The school that I went to for only a few months in 1950.....6th grade. But it was where I met my very good friend Bonnie, and we are still friends today.....62 years later. We were both "new" kids within a week of each other so we became the best of friends!!!! We bought our first pair of Levi's together......at Mulhollands Dry Goods store on Woodward Ave. We had to roll them up at the bottom, they were so long.....in those days only boys/mens sizes were available......and we had to try them on in the aisle over our clothes....no dressing rooms in the Dry Goods store. This is all journaled on a pull out tag behind the page.
