Journaling: In September, Don and I made a short trip to North Carolina. We visited our lot in Little Switzerland for the last time as owners, even though we didn’t know that at the time. We sold it not too long after -- sniff, sniff. We also attended my 35th college reunion at Pfeiffer College -- the first time I’d been back for a reunion since I graduated in 1970. The English majors were well represented, and it was nice to see some of my classmates.
In October we had several things to celebrate. Mama celebrated her 78th birthday with dinner out at Mimi’s. Sam discovered his hands and feet which spent a lot of time in his mouth. The whole family gathered at First Baptist Orlando on October 30 for his dedication.
For Halloween, Katie and Sam were characters from the Wizard of Oz. Katie was Dorothy -- or as she said, “Dorfy” -- and Sam was the cutest Scarecrow ever. They had a good time at the Fall Festival at First Baptist.
