We were out for Chinese and my 4 1/2 year old daughter asked for the "grown up" chopsticks (not the "cheaters"). She did great, so my husband snapped a few photos!
I had just purchased this Basic Grey collection from Jo-Ann's. It is exclusive to J's, and it's awesome -- and it has lots of circles, so I thought this would be perfect for the Circle challenge! :)
I included the take out menu (which includes a red circle), the chopsticks (the nice, reuseable kind) and my daughter's fortune which reads, "The wheels of fortune are finally turning in your favor." And thus, a circle layout is born.
New (to me) technique: Stitching -- I stitched a bit of bakers twine at the bottom and strung it through the buttonholes. I don't own a sewing machine, but I purchased the Sew Easy and like the ease it gives in making stitches.
Sketch is loosely based on Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Tips & Tricks, page 61.
