This is another page I did for a challenge and the challenge was to make your own pp line. No store bought pp, embellies, letter, chipboard. Nothing other than plain cardstock, ribbon (which was a personnal killer for me) stamps, ink, pens, pencils, and adhesive. It was so much harder than I thought!!!

I made my pp with flowers using stamps and coloring in the flowers. THe polka dot paper was made using circle punches of different sizes and layering. I made the title by cutting 2 white copies of each letter. I colored one in red, blue, and yellow stripes and hole punched the outline of the letter and glued on top. Then matted on black paper. The accent was a hand drawn heart which I doodled around and cut around the doodles. The white heart has different words for love written out. I added diamond Glaze over top to make it look like an epoxy accent.

Journaling: This is the first time I feel that the journaling was way too personal to share. It basically is why Mother's Day used to be my least favorite holiday and how all of that has changed now that I have a daughter. Here is the last 2 paragraphs that aren't as personal:
Since having my own daughter, Mother’s Day has gotten better. This year I actually enjoyed the day and didn’t let the past ruin my joy. Bella is finally old enough to understand what the holiday means and was sooooo sweet this year. She told me how pretty I was and how I was the bestest mommy in the whole world. She was being so sweet giving me hugs and kisses. She kept giving me the biggest smiles which I love right now because she’s all cheek when she does them. She pretended to make me a special desert which meant so much to me because I know she’s not old enough to actually cook or make me one of the homemade presents kids do. Her actions probably meant more to me than she will ever know.
Now, I celebrate how lucky I am to have a fantastic daughter and wonderful family on Mother’s Day. I don’t let the past get in the way of how blessed I am. I just love my daughter and am so thankful for her. Life is good and this is us on Mother’s Day 2006.
