this is so fun, and you're right, talk about a perfect chance to use the umbrella man die! I saw it at the scrap store when I was in making some diecuts and thought, "what kind of page could you put that on?" Well thanks for showing me exactly what kind!! As for Martha's "easy" punches, they're only easy when they wanna be, right?! Great page!
What a cute photo and that umbrella man is just perfect!!! OK, inquiring minds want to know....LOL. I know how you feel about Martha, so did she mess you up in the corner or did you take creative license and do that on purpose, because I love the umbrella in the corner. Great punch work and details. Congrats on the GD spot! :o)
Congratulations, Rochelle, on being a GD!!! Love this layout...like how you cut the top corner and put an umbrella on it....that TH die is perfect to go along with your picture...like the cute little flag with his name on it....adorable page!!!
Adorable page Rochelle!! That die is the perfect accompaniment to the sweet photo! And the punch work goes right along with it!! Such a delight!! (sorry I didn't comment on this last night along with your first new post, I signed out right after your first layout came up.) Oh, also loving those dusty blues!!
Wow! You did a great job with the umbrella man and the grunge board!! And you drew the mat free hand? Wow! Also love your roses! You have lots of cool stuff going on here!
Congratulation Rochelle! And welcome back! This picture is SO cute, you can tell he's not too fond of the heat. Lovely little birds and umbrellas. Great job, as always!
WONDERFUL!! Love the colours, your TH guy is awesome, great embossing and cool umbrellas! Those roses are so gorgeous..they look REAL!! Superb matting you cut for the great photo of Ossian..he is so cute! ~FAVE~
Hi fellow Scrappers! I'm back! Kelly at Scraputane was nice enough to ask me to be a GD for her and her wonderful store/blog using the new Basic Grey's What's Up Collection. It's wonderful paper and the use is limitless! Be sure to check out more wonderful items and tutorials on her blog at scraputante.blogspot.com. It's amazing!
This is my DGN on a warm sunny day at Gram Gram's house (Great-Grandmother). He doesn't like to be hot so was using an umbrella to keep himself cooler! Could there be a more perfect picture for the Holtz's Umbrella Man die? He's always traveled to his own beat but is growing up to be a very nice young man. I thought it was a great day to post a lo of him since he completed the 4th Grade as of today!
I cut the man out of grunge board, inked it and embossed it. The matting I cut free hand and made the roses. The other little umbrellas are a die that I inked. The little birds on the picture were also inked and embossed. And we can't forget about Martha and her "easy" punch around the page punches! Thanks for all of your sweet comments and encouragement to get me back to scrapping! And thanks again to Kelly for honoring me with a GD spot! TFL
