I made this lo for my sister. Her oldest son recently graduated from Navy Boot Camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. After I took the picture I added another small star in the upper right corner of where the photo goes (popped to slightly overlap with the photo). Her hubby was in the Navy too, and went to Great Lakes as well. My hubby was also in the Navy (for 20 yrs) and my oldest son is also Active Duty Navy; they both also went through boot camp at Great Lakes. Hence, it is really a family tradition. :-) I framed this and sent it to her to put her son's Boot Camp Grad picture in it. I used misc patriotic papers I acquired over time, several edge punches and 2 different star punches. The banner was used cutting rectangle pieces, then using teh corner of a square punch to make the points at the bottom. I used hardware twine to "string" the banner. The journaling on the left says: "Great Lakes Naval Station Navy: A Family Tradition May 2012"
