what a great spot for Oreo! I don't let my cats loose outside, either, but 2 of them like to go out on long leashes that are hooked up to a doorknob. So nice that this lil guy doesn't have to feel like he's missing out anymore!
This is fabulous! What an amazing enclosure for Oreo. Be careful or the next thing you know you might be spoiling him or something! ;-) Seriously though, I think Oreo is so lucky to have you!
I am definitely a crazy cat woman as well!! I LOVE cats!!! Mine are house cats, they don't even try to get outside, and they have the run of the whole house...except my ivory couch!!! That pet enclosure is fabulous!! So much space and lots of spots to climb and lay round!! Oreo is the King of his Castle!!
OH-MY-GOSH!!! That is too cool!!! OK... we are both the crazy cat ladies, aren't we? haha.... That is great. So happy for Oreo! At this point, I take my kittens out in the back yard if I have time in the evenings, which has only been a couple of times a week. I am hoping that they will spend more time outside as they get older, but we have to get the outside dogs used to them, or they will eat them. We live in the country. When the dogs see a little furry animal, they think it's a snack or a toy. Even if we do let them out some during the day, later on, I am keeping them all locked up at night because I've had too many cats disappear at night, and I suspect coyotes. My cats have all been so nocturnal, they drive me crazy until I let them out. But these kittens are so used to living in my office/craft room, which is very large, that I think they will be OK. they are locked in here so that they can only destroy one room at a time!
oreo was always meowing to go outside with minnie and me. he is too curiuos and hyper for me to let him out. even though our yard is fenced i am sure he would find a way out and i would feel horrible. i came across this website that had pet enclosures and knew that was my route. this one has 2 tunnels, a tower and the big enclosure on the end. you take the screen out of the window and replace with plex-glass with a pet door in it.
at first oreo didn't know what to think. i tried treats in it to loure him out but that didn't work. i was getting very discouraged. he started poking his head out the doorway and then eventually started going further and further out each time. now he lives in it. he just loves it. now i don't feel so bad when i am out side and so is minnie.
