Today I bring to you what I created for my Mom's 69th Birthday. She had no idea that I was making anything, so it was a complete surprise to her. I bought the red bucket from Michael's for $1.00. I made the sign from a cereal box, pattern paper and skewers I already had. I then just painted the sign with the words, "Have a Ball."
What is in the bucket you ask? Well, I made a sand cake...it is just like dirt cake but I just used golden Oreos instead of regular Oreos. You can get the recipe from my blog at 4evercarolscreations.blogspot.com
In addition to the sand cake in the sand bucket I also created a beach ball cake. I made this cake using my Betty Crocker Bake N' Fill cake pan.

I used the dome part and bottom cake pans. I baked as directed a French vanilla cake in the pans. I filled the inside with a banana pudding with chunks of bananas. I decorated the cake with white icing and colored sugar crystals. Finally, I surrounded the ball with brown sugar. My 2 daughters and my husband all helped with the decorating...it was a great family project and it was a big hit at our celebration.
