This layout is for a circle journal I'm in. The theme of this journal was "having boys has taught me . . ." I got a little crazy and used PINK on a boy page! (gasp).

I loved this month's scraplift challenge so much that I kinda did it again, my own way.

Journaling on this side is adapted from one of my recent blog entries and says:
Mothering Boys 101
Course Objectives

Objective 1: The student will demonstrate knowledge of the following information:
The difference between a skid loader and a front end loader.
The names of all the engines on the Island of Sodor.
The favorite colors of all the boys in her house.
The location of all the clean public restrooms in a 3-mile radius.
The location of clean sippy cups, favorite blankets and/or stuffed animals, and the remote controls.

Objective 2: The student will apply the following principles to her everyday life:
Care should be used in choosing a place to stand when changing diapers.
Couches, beds, and armchairs are all improperly named and should be called "trampolines."
Dirt is just a part of life, and can be found in the most fascinating crevices on a boy's body.
The best way to feed a boy spaghetti is to strip him down to his diaper or underwear and let him go at it.
The muddiness of the mud puddle is directly related to the dressiness of the outfit.
Always shut the bathroom door. Always.

Objective 3: The student will demonstrate mastery of the following skills:
Taking her sons from playing outside to bathed, pottied, dried, dressed, read to, and tucked in in less than ten minutes.
Ignoring large quantities of yelling, singing, and truck noises but still responding immediately when there's a problem.
Keeping her appetite when dinner conversations turn to such lovely topics as boogers, toots, and bowel movements.
Teaching her son to aim, clean up his own messes, and put the toilet seat down.
Staying silent when she steps on an army guy or lego in the middle of the night.
Sleeping on a couch that is also a battleground between Darth Vader and the army guys.
Always keeping kleenex and band-aids handy

Objective 4: The student will discover the following truths:
There are certain things her family well never understand, and the need for a spa pedicure is one of them.
That the small stuff isn't worth sweating.
That there is nothing more beautiful than a dandilion in a little boy's hand.
That sticky kisses are also the sweetest.
That love comes in very small, very wiggly, very dirty packages.
That boys really are the best.
