I had two rescue rabbits and one passed away recently. The other, Sir Frankenbun, started acting oddly, I figured he was grieving and lonely. I wondered if finding him a new roommate would help but he can be tempermental and I worried about what he`d do if he didn`t like the bunny I picked. So I contacted a rabbit rescue group who said I was welcome to bring Frankie out to pick out his own friend (I think they thought I was crazy for asking lol). When I released him into the bunny pen he chased pretty much everything except Bella so I figured if she could keep him in line then she was the one. It took less then 48 hours before they were snuggling (no worries, my Frankie is fixed). Her story: Until being given to the rescue 6 weeks ago Bella had lived inside a indoor cage by herself. Her nails had never been trimmed and had curled around into her paws. I noticed she walks oddly, I think maybe habit from that problem. They said she was also very overweight but has lost lots because the rescue had her in a pen she could run and play in. As she is the sweetest little girl I think her previous owner wasn`t mean but perhaps knew little about rabbit needs. TFL
