Journaling:
The house where you grew up is an important part of your life. The stories that you can share about this place and time connect you to your past and help drive the future. My stories about the house on Fowler Ave start the day we moved in when I was six-years-old. I remember sitting in my new room. The gold fuzzy wallpaper reflecting the seventies. We had family events, holidays and birthdays, happy times. Our basement was the place to be. My parents let us live in the basement with friends. It saw boyfriends and girlfriends. We had pets - dogs, ferrets, fish - and listened to Husker games. We mourned my mother and came to terms with the loss of her and other relationships. It was a place to live, but it was a home...and full of stories.
