The Hot Air Balloons were just perfect for my Lantern photos.
Our godson's school has a Lantern evening every year - Lanterns are lit and released into the night sky, setting free all hopes and dreams and wishes for the year. It's amazing to watch them take flight, not knowing where the wind will take them.
The schools is just outside the OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport's No-Fly zone, but we don't know where the wind will take these beautiful lights.
Funny story from last year: The wind took the lot south, and stories ended up in the paper the next week that strange flying objects were seen in the sky. SA is not known for UFO sightings, claimed or unclaimed, so it must've been quite a sight for the residents in the area!
