Wall hanging I made for an inspirational woman who loves/serves God, her family & others, while also impressing me because she is NOT weak, yet always does everything w/gentleness & love. BTW, you can click on this to see it closer up - I'm definitely NOT going to get a job anytime soon as a photographer! LOL. Anyway, I asked my friend what colors she did in her home & she said red-red & corals, and I was tickled because I was already wanting to use this scripture & tie it together the "ruby-looking" bling. I used a 6x6 die cut that I had from another collection to trace this chipboard shape, painted the edges w/dark brown acrylic paint, cut the same shape out of pp, then used deco scissors around the edges, used a chipboard frame as a template to cut out the middle coral "square", printed the scripture on red pp of same collection, painted & embossed the grungeboard "hinge" on middle left & adhered w/bronze brads, pop dotted the middle scripture square, and hand-made the red rose to go w/the other flowers (didn't have any flowers the color red I needed - what's a girl to do, right? Improvise!) I also used water to crinkle some hand-cut green cardstock leaves which turned out really cool (they look better in real life) and they were SUPER easy (thanks Gabrielle for all your amazing tutorials!!!). I inked the edges of everything, of course, because I have an inking problem. I used some Websters pp to make the mannequin, glued a small "apron" on her w/cream lace, and glued it onto chipboard to make it stiff. I finally got a chance to use my M.S. deep edge punch "Garden Gate"...really love that one. Scripture reads: "Who can find a Virtuous Woman? She is Worth Far More Than Rubies." PROVERBS 31:30 Thanks for looking & all of your sweet comments!
