Journaling reads:
When I started scrapbooking 5 years ago, I had no idea how much it would affect my life. I’d tried paper scrapbooking, but I always got frustrated with things not lining up perfectly, or not having the things I wanted to make my pages work. Digital scrapbooking changed all of that. Finally I could make it all match perfectly, Ctrl + Z became my new best friend, and best of all, I could get everything I needed in Italy (even with our super slow internet). Five years and almost 2,000 layouts and projects later, my reasons for scrapbooking have gone from alleviating boredom to preserving our memories to share with the future generations. I’ve become even more determined to do this after we had Elise and Bradley live with us, and the only way they knew who most of their extended family was through photos. One Christmas they fell in love with our gift of a family genealogy binder, and ever sense my purpose has been clear. Scrapbook our stories, so that future generations will know who we are, not just through pictures, but through our own words. Pictures are only part of the story, and being able to scrapbook them lets me share the complete picture. This is why I scrapbook.
