I'm off to check out your tutorial. I just got a Silhouette, and I'm scared spitless to take it out of the box, but I'm also so excited I could just wet myself! I'm going to be stalking you now, begging for Silhouette lessons! Love this CI project. The papers are fabulous and in your creative hands, they've become something VERY special!
My dad came back from Colorado with a pink cowgirl hat for Nina. She was pretty excited about it, actually, but the photos weren't the greatest.
I did almost all the cutting with my Silhouette, and actually relied on it heavily to translate the sketch to the page. I did a brief tutorial that you can see in my "Other Projects", but the credit for this genius technique goes to Kelly at findingtimetocreate.blogspot.com.
The border is supposed to be a "rope" frame from the Sil store, but it was so intricately cut, and I think my blade is dulling down again. So, I just cut the outline of the rope, and aged it a bit with burlap and vintage photo ink. The rest came together with some papers from my stash, and two that I bought at Scrapbook Expo specifically with this page in mind. :)
