While going through mil's things after her recent death, dh came across this stunning photo of her when she was a teen. I paired it with a recipe for her potato croquettes that she'd written out for him I came across in my kitchen drawer. I order the perfect size wooden spoon for the embellishment, one, because she emphasized the need to only use a wooden spoon to stir the potatoes with, and two, because dh and his brother always talked about how she always used her wooden spoon to threaten them with when they were little. Rip mil.
