I have also been through the freckle drama but when I met my husband, he said it was one of the things he loved about me! Mine have faded as I have gotten older but my 10 year old has some now and hates them too. This page is adorable. Good job.

JOURNALING: "Mommy, what are all these dot things on my face?", you asked me one day. "They're freckles, honey", I replied. They didn't seem to be bothering you but I guess you're at that point now where you're becoming aware of your physical traits more and more. I remember when I was your age, I had freckles too. I even tried the "Jan Brady" method of removing them (lemon juice and sun). After a while, I just forgot they were there. I showed you all the freckles on my shoulders and my back and you giggled. "I guess mine needed a new location because they used to be on my face just like yours", I said. You giggled again. But I love your face full of freckles, sweet pea. They're part of your character ... part of your being ... part of your essence ... part of you ... and of course, I love everything about you ... especially your freckles. April '06.
