Wow, great photos & I love how you related their destiny & fate to our own in that neither one of us knows what the future holds and all we can do is live in the moments we are given and put our faith in the One who holds our futures. Beautifully inspiring Lisa, thank you & FABulous job w/the sketches as always!
It is beautiful even with the frost! I love the quotes you selected here. I have been a bit disparaged by the weather here but this has helped me to appreciate beauty even in the grey, windy, wet days as the trees sway and the rain drops on my face!
So glad you explained how you did the icicles. That was the question I was planning to ask! You're reading my mind! I love the direction you took this project - the tags done up dark like dying vegetation, but the bright sun peeking over the edge of the paper. There's hope here, even in the midst of the killing frost. Love this. Faves!
Terrific LO..oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I hate to see it go! did it come back every year????..this LO is just plain GREAT..not plain at all --just GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is stunning.. Love the layout design and the colors you've used. And the photo on the right shows the little flower determined to stay strong.. Love it !!
This is the second of two pages that go together but aren't a two-page LO per se. The first page is Courage in my gallery. The subject goes across both pages, but the design doesn't, so they can go either side by side or front to back in my album depending on how my pages shake out.
This one courageous little flower was growing in an old tree stump. The average first killing fall frost in Vilas County, Wisconsin is in the 2nd week of September - The photo on the left was taken on October 3, 2008 - the photo on the right was the next morning :( To me, it symbolized striving and growing even not knowing what the future holds - and having faith that God's plan is the right one even if it doesn't turn out the way you would have wanted. "Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
I used the September Monthly Sketch Challenge 30-day Sketch-a-thon Day 18 sketch.
I lightly stamped a graph pattern on the Kraft bg in a few places to go with the Origins. I colored white tags with GM's. The icicles are old Creative Imaginations stickers that I treated with Frosted Lace and Diamond Stickles. I love how that came out. I cut the sun with the Going Places cart in my Cricut.
