SCORE! (*wiping tears away*). Good times, good times!
Seriously, the cards are absolutely GORGEOUS, said the girl who has seen them in person! I love that it combined your favorite season with your favorite passion-that was a win-win for sure!
If I were you, I'd FRAME the card that she is bound to send you to see how your beautiful work has come full circle!
This is a card I made for a bride to be (she's getting married tomorrow). She's a sweet girl and sends thank you cards all the time, for any tiny thing you might do. Super nice person, a rarity! So, I decided as a gift, to make her a stack of cards she could send after the wedding...one less thing for her to worry about, right?!?
The colors of the leaves are the colors of her bridal party and her wedding has a Fall theme. So, I took this idea and ran with it. EIGHTY TIMES. Yes, I made 80 cards!
I first took 8 1/2 x 11 craft paper and cut it down the middle. NOT folding it yet, I ran it through the Texture Boutique, which for reasons I can't explain, embossed it perfectly for the fold! SCORE!!! (get it, 'score'...it's scored it??...is this thing on?)
Anyway, then I lined the inside with a cream colored paper (after chaulking all 80 insides) and then added the cut leaves having stamped "thank you' on the yellow one.
But wait, there's more. THEN I heat embossed ANOTHER leaf on the corner of the cards.
Now, I'm not the best person doing cards, but I'm happy with the way the turned out. But hmmm, how to package them you ask? What if she trips?? 160 cards and envelopes go flying! (you'll have to check out the other picture to find out how I solved that problem!).
The big reveal is tonight at the rehearsal dinner and I really hope she likes them, but I tell ya, if I get one of these things in the mail, I might scream!
