LOL...looks like we're both in an 'apple' mood today!! Super cute layout Laura! I love your apple blossom branch embellishment...so sweet! I totally hear you on the lack of apples! We've made it a tradition to go apply picking with the family since Chloe was a baby but the last couple of years were a bust! (we go on the October long weekend) both times when we got there they told us the apples were done, that the crop was very small this year!
So how did you like them apples? (I kill me up in here!) Seriously, this was a great design for using multiple photos. I love all the things you did with the Cricut too. Very well designed!
Everything about this page is just wonderful!! Perfect embellies for these great photo's and I love Tilda...you have coloured her beautifully!! I have never seen that leaf border punch before...it is beautiful!! Love your great design and the fun pics!!
This LO turned out so wonderful! I love the fun bright patterned paper you used, all the inking, distressing and of course the collage of photos. Your hard work really shows in this great LO!
oh so so adorable and cute and luv your collage of fotos of your fun fun day, so nice of hubby to have some input on your awesome page...very cute lil details too......xo
so cute! Love the puched border and the apple blossom branch! There weren't a lot of apples here this year either; a shame-we usually get really nice ones from an orchard just down the road. Nice distressing!
All of your hand cut embells and Cricut die cuts are just adorable. Very pretty papers and colours - awesome apple blossom branch and colouring on the Tilda stamp. Super cute multi-pics & design. FAVES
This is so cute! I love apples...my granma had lots of trees when I grew up and they were so good! Love all your cut embeelies and the leaf border is fabulous!! Love the ttile too!
Last year, in September 2011, we went apple picking with friends, for the first time, and had a blast! These photos represent the great time we had. This year, things started warming up early and the buds started coming out on the trees very early. Unfortunately, we later had frost that killed many of the buds, so there wasn't much opportunity for apple picking this year. Our own trees did not flower much and we had very few apples. After I thought I had completed this layout, my husband said, "You should have titled this one, 'How do you like them apples.'" So I added those words to the layout.
The title was cut with my "Jasmine" Cricut cartridge. I made the wooden part of the apple blossom branch on my Cricut with my "Picturesque" cartridge. I then fussy cut leaves from the remnants of the background paper and adhered them with Pop Dots. The flower blossoms were inked using my friend Katie's ("KDQ") cream Prima flowers and her Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and a Q-Tip. The centres are rhinestones from our local dollar store. I hand drew and cut the pumpkin. The apple basket was cut with Katie's Cricut and my "Doodle Charms" cartridge. The apples were cut using one of her cartridges. And the Tilda stamp belongs to my mom ("Quick Silver"). I coloured it with a variety of different markers. My mom also punched the leaf border for me, and I used green cardstock in the background from Katie, her green ink, and "Firefly" Stickles to accent the border punched leaves. The brads on the basket were also from Katie. Thanks to you both!
