Oh my gosh--SO much work. But what a darling result! (I guess you wouldn't want to mass produce that one, would you--it would take until NEXT year!) I really love the card.
The challenge was to create a card by embedding multiple layers of paper together by embossing them all together. I took a bunch of little scraps of paper and cut out an approximate shape and taped (with temporary tape, right in the center of the scrap) each piece onto a piece of tan cardstock in the spot that it needed to be for the embossing folder. Then I embossed it all. I got my scissors and I left them taped down and just lifted the edges of each piece to cut around it. That took FOREVER, but it was worth it! I had taped the top edge of the tan paper to the top of the embossing folder to make sure that it didn't move so that I could run it through again when I was done fussy cutting it.That made them all embed a little better. I added a small amount of wet glue under the edges of each piece to help hold it down. Then I added the brads for buttons and I used my black inksentials embossing pen to color the eyes and mouths and embossed them with holographic powder. Then I colored the noses with a colored pencil, got my clear embossing pen and heat embossed with holographic powder as well. I also did the scarf on the left side with some dark red powder. I took my sparkly pen and traced around the snowflakes in the sky as well.
I stamped and embossed a sentiment on the inside of the card and a flourish on the envelope using the same dark red powder as on the scarf.
