A Real Artist Chen Calligrapher, Stone Carver, Painter
Chen welcomed me into his home and showed me the art in his living room/gallery. I had gone to him only to have him mount my poem, which had been scribed by Wang, but after seeing his art, I chose some additional pieces - one is a scroll of persimmons and birds, and the other is Cranes with Pine and Plum blossoms.
Chen gave me his address and told me if I ever wanted additional pieces of Chinese Art, I should contact him and he would paint it or find it for me. I was so lucky to meet Chen and other real Chinese artists, like Wang (calligrapher), Pang (photographer) and Xiulan (textile artist). The art community was my favorite group of people I met in Beijing.
Created digitally, using PSP 9, Photoshop Elements 2.0, and digital scrapbooking files (like Ekits) from Cottage Arts.
