OMG this is soooooooo gorgeous! I love the peeled wallpaper look - and the pp is just like the wallpaper we used to have in the kitchen LOL))) which totally sealed it for me)) love the flowers with pearly centers - gorgeous!
Oh My WORD!!!!!!!!!!!! OOOOooooOooo!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!! Love the holes with the bricks showing through. LOVE the rosary used on the lo!! Colors and design are just perfect!! In to my favorites for sure!!
this is beautiful and comes at a wonderful time for me - I am not Catholic Lisa but I find great comfort in Mary and as I am facing surgery on Monday, I find it so calming right now.
Two more of the photos I took for our Religion assignment in Get Better at Photography in September 2009. The close-up of her hands and rosary is edited with an oil painting effect.
Journaling: Our Lady of Fatima is the title given to the Virgin Mary as she appeared in apparitions to three shepherd children at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. This same apparition is also referred to as Our Lady of the Rosary.
This is for the November Monthly Sketch Challenge - Week 3. The twist was to try a new technique - I'm not sure I accomplished that, but I did work with glass beads and chain for the first time on a LO.
I masked the brick pattern on the bg cs and then tore out the holes in the upper layer where I wanted the bricks to show through and inked the edges. I was going for an old peeling wallpaper effect. I used a broken rosary that I hated to throw out for the embellishments. I pulled it apart and rearranged it a bit to fit the design. The LO has a lot more depth IRL. The photos don't look so dark, and the banner and rosary stand out from the busy bg much more than they do in this pic of the LO.
