Another fun lo! Great job with the digi elements. The design is once again very organized so that the multi pic lo still looks organized and not chaotic. love the 3 flowers to separate groups of pics. It helps to group the pics into sections that are easy to view and helps the eye group things together in small groups across the page, so it doesn't seem too overwhelming. Nice job.
I'm learning a lot just by reading the comments with the LO's in this gallery. I too get the feel of water from the frames but understand the comments about creating some pics for focal points. Ilene, it is nice to read your responses which allows me some understanding of digital. It is a great LO and will always be a wonderful memory for Leah.
I love the frames -- they really make me think of water. I really like the placement of the 5 photos in the top right hand corner on page 2. I will have to remember that for some of my multi-shots. Did you design your own elements, or did you use someone else's kit? (If so, whose?) I love all the elements a lot, and they go together great. Looks like everyone had fun!

I really like seeing your progression! You are a natural when it comes to cropping your photos, balancing out the two page layouts, and your color palette. I don't know how long ago you did this layout, but as the "general public" begins to learn more about design I think the trends change. We know to use focal photos and allow for some white space. I honestly think this is a fantastic page for a first effort. I would not have guessed this was one of your first pages. I also have to say that there is no rule stating that you can't go back and do pages with some of the same photos!
Great candid shots. Looks fab especially for one of your first digis. I love all the photos. Creating a more focal photo is a good tip but the page works perfectly as is!
I guess I was satisfied with this one to let the actions speak for themselves. I can see that I should have chosen some to make into focal point pictures. I should have selected the Rhino in the water, Mommy serving the cake, and reading the card, as my focal pictures, but I made some mistakes in photo editing, and I think that the option to differentiate them by matting them differently is gone. Live and learn. I was new to digital, so I made mistakes. I'll be careful not to attach the borders to my photos in the future. It was so tempting. Pretty borders, pretty frames. I got carreid away. Plus, I was trying to include so many pictures. It was hard to decide which photos to eliminate, and still represent all participants. Maybe I should find another way to do that. Not every participant should get so much space, but I really don't like group photos. Group photos are boring to me.
But still, I thank you Jasmine for your suggestions. I will be more careful in future layouts not to overwhelm with so many photos and so many frames.
I love the multi-pic page! Certainly looks like everyone had fun! Perhaps you could just make the mats smaller, as it seems to take away from the focal point photo (I don't know which you'd like to emphasize). But with a multi-pic page, it's good to have at least one to two (or even three) focal photos to make your eyes adjust from that to the rest of the photos. BTW, the mat of the focal point should be bigger, and the rest of the photos smaller.. well, that's just my $0.02! I'm wondering where the journaling is tho'?
This was a tenth birthday party at Sliver Lake, a local water park. The kids had a lot of fun. There was even a girl that that got included in our party as one of the guests, that we did not know. She came to the water park with her mother and some other adults, and played with our party, so we invited her into the celebration. *** Leah makes friends wherever she goes. *** Digital layout made with PSE2 and Cottage Arts digital Elements. ***
