Well, this LO isn't winning any awards for design, but I'm really happy I was able to fit all the pictures and memoribilia that I wanted to onto two pages because this Jan-Apr 2008 album is going to be 58 pages as it is, so I didn't want to expand this subject any further. It's what I call a functional LO, versus an artistic LO. :) This is April 20-22, 2008 at the American Club - a AAA Five Diamond Resort.

The journaling is written on the hotel stationery that is tucked into the pocket behind the photo of the hallway & bathroom in my room. It says:
As a 40th (& 1/2) birthday present to myself, I went up to spend three days and two nights at the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. My room was in the Carriage House so I had complete spa access. On Sunday, I did some shopping at the Shops at Woodlake and had a cocktail at Olive N' Ash, then I had dinner at the Horse and Plow in the American Club. Monday, I spent the entire day at the spa, including a spa lunch and then dinner from room service. I had a Highland Fling Hydrotherapy Treatment, Kohler Waters Facial, and Kohler Massage, and I used the pools and saunas and relaxed with a book. Tuesday, before heading home, I had lunch at Cucina. The whole experience was fantastic, and I bought the whole line of Hollyhock products to enjoy at home.

On the right is the brochure detailing all the spa services with photos of the inside of the spa, and on the left, partially tucked into a pocket behind the bottom photo, is the folder the hotel gives to hold paperwork at check-in, which I used to hold my menu from the spa and some info about the hotel. Both are held in with BG magnetic snaps so they can be removed for reading. Across the bottom, I strung together 4 photos from the interior of my room. I accidently covered up the window - it was over the couch - so between the two photos with the lamps on the edges. Under the title, I put together two photos to show the exterior of the Carriage House.
