White soda crackers with boiled brown sugar- butter poured over crackers, baked & sprinkled with chocolate chips & nuts...mmmmm good! Like a not so sweet candy!
Recipe: SODA CRACKER COOKIE PIECES "INGREDIENTS: saltine crackers to fill pan, 1 cup butter 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips 1 c. finely chopped walnuts 1 c. packed brown sugar. DIRECTIONS: Line a 15 x 10” baking pan with *NON STICK (important) foil . Line the pan with soda crackers. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add the brown sugar & cook stirring it until it dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Immediately pour mixture over the soda crackers. Or for microwave melt butter and brown sugar for 2 min. Stir & cook for 2 more min. stirring every 30 seconds. Pour gently over crackers. Bake 350o 10 -14 min. Spread mini chocolate chips over the hot cookies. Let set for a couple of minutes. Spread the chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with nuts& press in lightly. Let cool, then break into pieces. *It's Reynolds wrap, may say release foil on pkg.
