This was a fun layout to do for my daughter Jill's book. The pictures do not do the Annual Polar Bear Plunge justice. The beach was full of Maniac's on this very cold New Years Day. She took the plunge with one of her dogs, Hank. He bravely went with her and I also have a photo of him trying to grab her hand to pull her back to shore. It was as though he knew one should not be out in the water when the water was so COLD! The pictures were taken at Sand Beach, Acadia National Park. The water is brutal cold even in July!
