This is a photo of two of my great-uncles. They both worked for L&N railroad their entire lives until they were in their 70's. I don't know where or when this was taken, but they obviously are older, maybe near retirement. Uncle George on the left lived and worked from Columbia, TN and Uncle Burney (Uncle "Boots") lived and worked from Birmingham, AL. This is just the way I remember them.

I was thrilled to find this photo. It had belonged to Uncle Burney's daughter and fortunately was passed down to a cousin. I REALLY wanted a photo like this, with them in their conductor hats and pocket watches.

I used seven stamps for the background.
