This photo of a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree trunk was taken on the Road to Hana on the island of Maui during a recent vacation to Hawaii. My dh and I were taking a Valley Isle Excursions tour(we highly recommend Debra, a native Hawaiian, as your driver!). an over 150 mile tour around the island. Do not attempt to drive yourself as not all of it is paved, has many hairpin curves, one way bridges, and steep cliffs to fall off down to the ocean... Debra told us this tree was brought from Australia and no longer exists there but no one can figure out how to propagate more. It had beautiful colors of green, maroon, orange, brown and gray. The bark looks like this, very smooth and incredible.
