This is more of a reminder of what our family went through this year concerning this rather than school itself. The original journaling didn't make any sense to me, so I rewrote it

None of you really thought about it. To you it was just the end of another year. But, things have changed. The sign you stand beneath, as I take your picture, will be different next year. This building will have a new name and no longer will you all go there under one roof, as you should. Your Father and I didn’t want it to be this way. We didn’t move to a small town with a local elementary school to have you bussed to another town, but in the end that is what is to happen next year.
Remember, change comes even if it isn’t always good. Sometimes, we just have to accept it the best we can. All you can do is stand up for what you believe in. That is what we did and I am not ashamed of it. One trait of me that I hope I pass on to all of you is standing up for what you believe in. Don’t be one of those people that takes the opinion of whomever they are speaking to at the moment. Some things in life are too important not to take a
Stand.
