The crystal necklace on the upper right is from my Mom. It might be from the 1920s,I saw a movie with Bryce Howard wearing the same one and that was set in that period.
I put this together after watching Drychas tutorial about journal pages. It inspired me to go faster and to be more free. I dont know how else to say it. Maybe i will later today.
And my sis inspired me , by saying i should use one of my oil paintings in a lo. That gave me the idea to make more of a painting type thing on white paper. What started out here as dylusions spray, then sprayed with water and worked at, got coated with things and torn. I wanted the original thing to look like two big flower things blowing in the wind. I made the background ppr first, then picked a photo to match. Thats the first time ive done that. Fortunately i take a lot of pics with blue skies in them, lol, and i noticed when i got the photo back ,it had purple hues in the sky. Youre looking at eatons neck there, and connecting it to the mainland is asharoken. Every house in asharoken is on the water, im going to have to scrap one of them. It would be so neat to live there, and if i had a couple million dollars, ide probly buy a house .
Eatons neck is in the distance, the thin strip of land connecting it to Northport is Asharoken.
This lo was very easy for me, and you know if youve read about my probs with other los that is just downright weird for me. The embellies were more random and put on in no time, and they were artier looking i think, but i organized them here. I used the same materials we're all familiar with , i dont know if i want to list them,. Ide like to say i used a little lavender from Greenport my MIL gave me . Its under the pic, and the right of the keyplate, and by the metal wing. At my MILs 80th bday she had a family get together in Greenport, 60 miles e of here. We visited a lavender farm there and she bought some for me ,her daughter, and her other DIL. That was 2010 and the bouquet still smells so good. There are beehives at the farm too, and the honey is pretty good!! It tastes nothing like regular honey.
This is near my In-laws house.
pressed flower, a pansy, from my yard here.
Necklace at upper left my Dh bought in Northport.
The gold stuff to the right of the photo is tiny microbeads i got at the dollar store. Its for nail decoration, a bunch of tiny bottles with different colors. Even close up though, it kinda looks like dirt, lol.
I might have gotten the idea of the butterfly wings from one of Drychas posts.
