This is one of my faves of yours. WOWZA. and I love Cassie in that color. I struggled with this sketch but to use the curve as part of your title is genius!
Wow I love how you incorporated the swirl into your title. This lo is so rich and detailed and shows off that wonderful photo beautifully. Your dd is adorable in that costume and pose.
Fabulous page! I love her portrait, such a cute pose. I love the papers and the black flowers, the gold in the middle makes them really cool and I love the little cherub. Does she pour over the albums you've made for her? My daughter loved to look at all her softball pages I made for her (my only girl out of 7 kids and she played softball and didn't dance...lol ) Wonderful page, I love your work.
the pic is perfect for that sketch - and vice versa! love the gold hues all over - perfect contrast for the blue background of the pic and a match with the dress! you played it up perfectly!
My dd was in 9 dances in her recital in 2011 - three of them were for her Advanced/Intermediate Tap class. Of the nine portraits, I only really like three, two are 'okay,' and two are terrible. The other two are not bad photos, but her expressions don't fit the dances so I don't really like them. This is one of the ones that I really like - it is her tap portrait for Sing You Sinners, a duet by Tony Bennett and John Legend. You can see the LO's I've completed for other 2011 dances and earlier years in my Dance LO's Album in my gallery. All her professional dance portraits have been taken by Cass Photography.
This is an example for my March Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Gold. For this one, I used metallic gold. The twist is to include some metal on the page - I have a metal corner near the upper right flower and a metal photo anchor on the upper left of the photo.
I used one of the December 2012 Page Maps, Etc. Challenge sketches that I didn't get to before for this LO. I used the curve in the sketch to create a large 'S' for part of my title. The rest of the title was cut with the Jubilee cart on my Cricut. I pulled apart the flower centers that came with the flowers and added the cherub and the black & gold brooch looking buttons. The solid gold pp is gold foil. The bg pp and the brocade pattern have gold glitter, and the large mat is solid gold glitter.
This LO is for: 1) March One Photo Challenge 2) March Girls Girls Girls - my LO #1
