Wow!! Those ARE big rocks!! This is a really cool LO!! I like all of the distressing that you did! It's very masculine!! You'll have to do a LO of what they look like once you have all the plants in around them!!

I like it! The paint makes it more masculine! How about something towards the top right hand corner... do you have another smaller picture you can add? Great use PP and I love the journaling! Great page!

Oh my goodness, this is my 3rd alteration of this layout! but Final one...
First the letters weren't right, I wanted to add something but wasn't sure what.. so I sanded the edges as per homesclapper.. great suggestion.. then this morning... i changed the letters and added the corners.. so much better! thanks for looking, AGAIN!

Journaling reads:
What a big rock!
The sun was shinning and it was about 80degrees. Tuesday morning- the second day of our spring vacation.
We wanted to do some landscaping in our backyard but had no idea what the day would bring.
Our neighbours were getting their yard excavated and some landscaping done.
We had fun talking to the guys working because they worked on our yard two years before. They mentioned to us that we could get some rocks, we were like little kids… we are gardeners and love rocks…. So this would be a great opportunity to add more to our existing collection.
We watched as the workers dug up tree roots and banged on a few rocks, but as we looked up and saw this massive rock… we were in awe! It was BIG!!! He placed it on the side of our front yard, and then said I have 2 more of these for you… WOW!! So this is our rock island!
We can’t wait to decorate it with shrubs and perennials. A gardeners dream!
How exciting that day was for us!
