I was going for that home-spun country look for this layout so I went with the pretty red patterned papers in the Life In the Country collection from Maja Designs. This is my sort of version of clean and simple :)

The chipboard is Dusty Attic. I coated the chipboard with red paint and then put on a layer of Glossy Accents to give the flourishes a nice laquered look.

I also picked up a new flower die cut, the Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms #1.....I made the gingham flower with it, easy peasy! I didn't even do a tutorial for this one because all I did was lightly curl the tips of the petals and roll up the strip....done! For more details on this page and some close ups you can check out my blog at

NOTE:....I have a MAJA DESIGN GIVE-AWAY going on at my blog until March 30th/2013 for their brand new spring collection of papers...the full collection! Be sure to stop by and put your name in for the draw (this is a GORGEOUS collection!) Here's a link for my Give-away....
