A fun LO for the girls to commemorate the day they learned some sewing basics - TFL

Text: We bought Karenna a sewing machine for Christmas 2009, she was only 8, but she had taken a keen interest in my sewing machine. I wanted to teach the girls how to sew in a creative and fun way, so I bought the book, “The Best of Sewing Machine Fun for Kids” by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan. On a snowy March day in 2010, we started at 9:00am just like school and worked through various activities. At the end of the day they decided which project they wanted to complete on Sunday since they’d mastered some skills. On Saturday, they learned to identify the different parts of the machine, how to thread a machine and bobbin, how to pivot a stitch and create curves. They also learned sewing safety. So on Sunday, they decided to make some burgers. Don’t they look yummy!?!
