This is a lo I did with pics I took of my son doing photography for his hs yearbook.

I used sketch #1 from the March Page Maps Etc Challenge for the design inspiration. The challenge and sketch can be found here http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/1585335/tp/1/

For the "WHS", I used a 'mailbox' alpha and two sticker alphas..they were both b/w, so I dabbed on some 'rusty' ink, because I wanted it to blend into the background a little more. The "Moments of Brilliance" is cut from a transparency.

I added the spinners to the photos to use them as arrows to point out where my ds is in each pic.

At each end of my title, I adhered a dewdrop because it made me think of a camera lens.

In place of the flowers on the sketch, I decided to do a grouping of embellies. I found an old photographic diecut camera (that I've had FOREVER) and a bingo card embellie that had the word "shoot" (appropriate for pics of a photographer of basketball, I think!) and I layered them on the page. I had a couple of leftover snippets of the film "ribbon", so I tucked it under the camera and added the basketball brad, I added an epoxy sticker dot thing to the top of the brad ...just because I wanted to. LOL I added the years to my grouping, then decided I needed something under the grouping, so I looked for some ribbon. While looking at my black ribbons, I decided it resembled a wrist strap on a camera, so I decided to use it that way. I used glue dots to attach the ribbon to the side of the camear and used more glue dots to keep the ribbon in place under my grouping. I decided the ribbon looked a little odd just ending at the diecut, so I found a mini buckle and added it to the ribbon.

The shiny elements on this page - the dew drops, the film 'ribbon' and the epoxy sticker over the basketball brad -- didn't photograph very well.
