Your tribute Jen and sincere words gave me a lump in my throat....well done....well done....amazing texture and depth in this lo and the pic says it all!!!
Perfect pp for this wonderful tribute to your father in law - love how you created texture - thank goodness there are people like your father in law - great job ~
Very interesting page. I have never seen anything quite like it. The photo is great and the page is so...can't think of the words for this! Great page!
What a wonderful tribute to your FIL and all those who have served in the Military!! Hero is the correct title for him in my opinion! Love the textures and design! Awesome job!!!
Super picture, and you are right, they were so brave and still are. My daughter and SIL (both millitary) served in Afghanistan, they saw terrible things and have been in danger . And we dont forget about the brave soldiers who lost their lives in Europe long ago. They free my family when they were almost dying from hunger in Amsterdam. I am happy they got through the war, otherwise we woudn't be born. I was raised with respect for the Canadian soldiers who free Holland in WW2
Wow Jen, what a heartfelt and touching tribute to all those heroes. This is a wonderful lo. I love all the different color techniques you used and the rough gritty textures, which symbolize the harsh conditions these brave men endured, not only for their own generation but for the generations that followed. Lest We Forget. Love this. Fave.
This is my father-in-law. He is a Hero. He proudly served in WWII in the 101st Fox Company in Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge; rough times, deadly times, difficult and bitter cold times but ever so important and heroic times.
Now I am certain all military folk would tell me that I have his honorable technical title, his unit, his division and his position totally incorrect, but for me, a civilian, I don't think so. The only title I think important is Hero.
This FabScraps Adrenaline collection honors all military Heros bravely serving all countries - and there are so many heros. We all know them: Our grandparents, dads and uncles, our sons, our daughters, moms, sisters, the boy down the street, your best friend's child, those wounded soldiers who need our compassion, and perhaps that bravest person you once knew who never came home.
I celebrate them today. I also thank FabScraps for honoring those bravest of people and giving us all a collection to boldly celebrate their lives and their heroic achievements.
